A stressor is something that is a barrier to healing. At Clean Life Family, practitioners are trained in Nutrition Response Testing ® and are able to identify which stressors are causing a client to need additional nutritional support. The five most common stressors include foods, immune challenges, metal toxicities, chemical toxicities, and scars.
A client may come up for a food challenge when they have a food sensitivity to a specific food. For example, if a client is tested and eggs comes up as a stressor, they may have to decrease the number of eggs they eat. By reducing and/or not eating the food that is a stressor this can help to improve their body’s healing. The practitioner will also provide support to the client by testing specific supplements to aid in their healing.
An immune challenge may arise when a client is feeling under the weather or they may feel fine. If an immune challenge is the stressor then the practitioner will test individualized immune support supplements for the client. The practitioner will also ask the client about certain symptoms or bodily functions to help determine what supplements could help to increase their wellness.
Metal and chemical toxicities are not uncommon in clients. Often times clients do not realize all of the environmental toxins and challenges that are around them. This can be things such as chemicals in the water supply, car exhaust fumes, and even cosmetics. There are multiple metals and chemicals that could be barriers to healing for a client, but a practitioner will find the specific supplements to help the body get rid of the metals and/or chemicals from the client’s body.
Scars are also something that can be a barrier to healing. A list of scars that need to be considered include but are not limited to: surgical, injury, belly button, episiotomy, c-section, tattoos, piercings, vaccinations, circumcision, vasectomy, tooth extractions, tonsils, stretch marks, chicken pox scars, or any other scar that is on the skins surface.
Scars interfere with communication in the nervous system. If the nervous system is trying to relay a message from one side of the body to the other side of the body and a scar is in its path the scar can “steal” the message. The scar then can store this message and accumulate energy from the nervous system’s messages. The scar then releases the energy whenever it feels like it and that confuses the nervous system. Practitioners are able to test what specific supplement is able to help with this nervous system confusion and help to heal the scars.
At each visit a client is evaluated with the five stressors to determine which stressor is causing them the most trouble at that time. Clients are tested with whole food supplements and placed on a program to help correct the stressor.
