My clients often ask me, “What can I eat for breakfast that has protein?” I just made these Turkey Sausage Patties and they are delicious! I was having a hard time finding healthy organic breakfast meat options so I decided to make my own!
This recipe is very easy to whip up in the morning and does not take long at all! I cooked my patties in a cast iron pan with some leftover bacon grease and I added some extra avocado oil. Turn your stove on, and if you are using cast iron cook on low. This will allow the meat time to cook and not get burnt.
First you will need to put your ground turkey into a mixing bowl. Then add all the seasonings and mix well using your hands. Once everything is mixed, form the patties with your hands. Place the patties into the oil. Then flip the patties once they are cooked on one side. You will want the finished temperature to be above 160 degrees. Use a meat thermometer to check to see if your patties are cooked.
If you find that the patties are to dry you can add in shredded apple or use ground dark meat turkey.
